Hi, Marek,

Last year I came from Germany to Israel with a R1200RT that I bought in Darmstadt, Germany. I travelled through Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. Was planning to travel through Macedonia and Serbia instead of Romania and Bulgaria (because the way is shorter), but since my bike was on an "export to Israel" license, I couldn't pass through countries which are not members of the EU. But you can do that. From Greece you take the Salamis Lines ALYOS ship, and arrive in Haifa. It does this circuit every week, leaving Lavrio on Saturday and arriving to Haifa on Tuesday. Price for the bike is 300 Euro, and if you compare the price for a person, it will be cheaper to leave the bike on the ship, fly to Tel Aviv and wait for it there at the Haifa Port.
